This document reports on a toxicological study conducted by E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company, which found that young adult rats administered PFOA at high doses (1,000 mg/kg and 100 mg/kg) exhibited significant clinical signs of toxicity, including weight loss and organ lesions, while lower doses showed no treatment-related effects.
